Description: The corridor map was originally developed using the National Hydrology Dataset (NHD), the USFS Riparian Buffer Delineation Model V3.0 (Abood and Maclean 2012), soils maps from NRCS (2017) and USFS, digital elevation models (10-m DEMs), and aerial photo interpretation. Within U.S. Forest Service areas the corridor is defined by the USFS RMAP boundary developed from the Terrestrial Ecosystem Unit Inventory (TEUI) maps (Triepke et al. 2015). Version 2.0 Plus is a refined, more accurate version and is based on the updates that were made to the New Mexico Riparian Habitat Map Version 2.0 Plus. The New Mexico Riparian Corridor Map Version 2.0 Plus is available for download at https://nhnm.unm.edu/riparian/nmripmap.
